Since the beginning of this WYD pligrimage I have been open to many different opportunities and challenges have that come along. Some of these experiences include: nearly losing my passport before we even left the airport, witnessing mass and evening prayer in spanish ,eating my body weight in ham and bread, walking a total of ten Km of the Camino de Santiago, communicating with my non-English speaking host parents during the days in the diocese, riding on my first train, celebrating mass with a million other youths that all believe in the same faith and god, climbing every available step on the Avila wall and receiving sunburn as a result of this. Looking ahead I am excited about welcoming the holy father, camping at cuatro and watching the soccer in our final night in spain. |
